R-Valued Homes- History

Ron Burkhardsmeier formed R-Valued Homes, Ltd. in 1998 with the following Mission in mind:

"R-Valued Homes Ltd., was formed to provide energy efficient homes and commercial buildings to all residents of Alaska, utilizing the latest in energy saving products and technology"

After conducting lengthy and thorough research, he found a polyurethane foam core structural insulated panel (SIP) manufactured by EMERCOR.

Since then, R-Valued Homes has a proven track record of building quality award winning energy efficient 5 star plus homes. As the sole distributor for EMERCOR in Alaska, quality is more than a word; we build to a higher standard than industry.

Awards

At the 2004 International Builder's Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, R-Valued Home, recognized as a national leader in energy efficient construction, received the 2004 Gold Energy Valued Housing Award (EVHA) for a Cold Climate Region. The NAHB Research Centers, Inc. in partnership with National Renewable Energy Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy and the National Association of Home Builders sponsors this annual (EVHA) award.

R-Valued Homes has won Energy Rated Homes of Alaska, Governor's Award for Energy Efficient Construction seven consecutive years. This is an accomplishment unequaled by any other homebuilder in the State of Alaska.

In 2001 and 2003 the Mat-Su Home Builder Association awarded R-Valued Homes the Golden Spike Award for Excellence in Building.
